Vila do Bispo has a good selection of restaurants, a bank, two cashpoints, a pharmacy, health centre, a selection of shops including a bakers and a butchers plus a daily farmers market where, as well as the fresh fish and fruit and vegetables, you can buy local honey, figs an almonds.
On the edge of the Natural Parque do Sudoeste Alentejano / Costa Vincenta, the area is perfect for horse-riding, surfing, walking, cycling and golf. There is a golf resort and spa 5 minutes away. As well as eating and drinking (there are ten restaurants in Vila do Bispo alone), the area is famous for its excellent (20+) beaches.
In addition to this, we are within easy reach of ancient Aljezur, the stunning mountains of Monchique and the historical town of Lagos.
