The area´s coastline, which extends to the north and east of Cabo de São Vicente (Cape St. Vincent) is dotted with more than 20 beaches

Vila do Bispos own beaches Castelejo and Cordoama are reached via a tarmac road which winds through a beautiful valley surrounded by slopes, with scattered stone pines.

One of the best places to experience our amazing sunsets, Castelejo has a lovely restaurant where you can eat beautiful fresh fish.

Right next door is Cordoama beach with its craggy cliffs, and wide golden sands - this is one of the most popular beaches of the west coast, with surfing and bodyboard schools.

Just 15 minutes up the road, and well worth a visit are the famous surfing beach Praia do Amado & the amazing Praia do Bordeira with its miles of dunes and calm lagoon.

On the south coast the nearest beaches to the house are Ingrina, a small bay with soft sands and rock pool, overlooked by a beach restaurant that serves amazing prawns - just around the corner, Zavial is a wide stretch of beach popular with surfers - it also has a great beach bar & restaurant.

There are many more beaches, some sandy coves hidden at the foot of cliffs, others broad expanses of sand that stretch away to the horizon - each has its own particular charm, all invite you to discover them.
